Cades School Alumni Association, Inc.

Mission statement: Improving The Community One Step At A Time

ABOUT US
In 2011, The Cades Hebron Elementary School, located at 3783 Green Road, Cades, SC , an African American Educational Learning Institution, closed its doors due to unforeseen circumstances.

In 2014, An alumnus member of the Cades Hebron High School, established the Cades School Alumni Association, Inc. group.  A charitable non-profit 501(c)3 organization, duly organizated under the laws of the state of South Carolina.

The "CSAA" organization, obtained the old school building in 2019. It is under reconstruction, with the intenions of converting into a 911 building and Community Center . Our goal is to create a continuous assortment of educational, recreational, and healthy resources that will benefit the community.

We have worked diligently in identifying the needs of the citizens by performing numerous surveys. We fosterd the Cades community, a rural area, to ensure that rural residents receive equivalent services as suburban residents without having to travel a distance to do so.

We've strategized a "Basic Plan of Action" to provide an array of direct outreach services that will target and benifit all audiences.

Our goal is to develop programs and resources that will improve and enhance the quality of life for underprivileged citizens, at-risk youth and the elderly that are struggling with daily living.

Adopt A Senior Program

Adopt A Senior Program

"Adopt a Senior" is a program that targets residents at nursing facilities and residential homes that have no immediate families in the area. Many elderly spend many days and holidays alone. We offer services to seniors by visiting them once or twice a week to ensure them that they are not forgotten or alone. We're committed to providing seniors with one-on-one support, and alleviating isolation while creating healthy and fulfilling relationships.

Community Wellness Program

This program is offered to the elderly and youth in underprivileged communities. Many of our exercises are designed around the needs of seniors to assist with improving balance, increasing core strength and range of motion. We also aim to reduce the risk of childhood obesity by teaching basic healthy eating habits, dieting, and exercising.
